Fish River Valley
The Eastern Cape is known for its vast and diverse hunting grounds and the variety of plains game. This is old Frontier Country that will capture your imagination. Apart from the large game farms, the area around the Fish River Valley is covered by large well known game parks that offer the visitor an unlimited experience in wildlife and Eastern Cape hospitality. The area has rugged hills combined with open plains and rivers which makes rainbow trout fishing a favorite outdoor sport.
The hunter has a wide choice of plains game to hunt in any area. The Fish River Valley area is particularly known for its dark Bushbuck, Eastern Cape Kudu, Vaal Rheebuck, Mountain Reedbuck, Blue Duiker, Bontebuck, Grysbuck, Springbuck, Black Wildebeest, Eland, Caracal, and even Lechwe. But above all it is the hospitality you will enjoy after your hunt at the beautiful historical game farm homesteads which will spoil you. You can even decide to experience comfortable accommodation in beautifully restored traditional oxwagons, some dating back 200 years.
A number of large farms are used, depending on the game to be shot, and hunters are transported around. A minimum of two hunters with a minimum two days duration of stay is required. Hunting vehicles are provided. The hunting farms are also ideally suited for corporate hunting and abseiling and other team building activities can be provided. Qualified professional hunters are used and each hunter is accompanied by a tracker.
Prices for local biltong ( meat) corporate hunters differ from that for foreign trophy hunters. Please request our price list for 2013.
